1. ritchiebrock:

Every day I fall on my face before the Lord and ponder his greatness. How the Father of Eternity could look on me with such ferocious and enduring love. How in spite of all my sin and failure, he redeemed me, chose me and gave me life. It’s a grace I am so unworthy to receive. His salvation clothes me through the finished work of Christ. He calls me Son and friend. He invites me to sit at his table and walk in his courts. He gave his Son, the shining glory of heaven to save me, a foul, lowly sinner and to this I am left speechless and bowed low before him. Who am I that God would love me? Who am I that he would think of me? Let’s all be ever mindful of the goodness and glory of God. Let’s live a life that honors his sacrifice and the wonder at the gravity of the price that was paid for us. #KingJesus

  2. 5 Reasons We Go Through Tough Times

    daydreamingpearl:

    buildfaithdaily:

    1. To remind us of Christ’s suffering.

    2. Keeps us dependent on God.

    3. Helps us focus on eternal life.

    4. Demonstrates our faith to others.

    5. An opportunity for God to make us more like His Son.

Everything we face in life is designed to draw us closer to God, make us more Christ-like and keep our minds fixed on the things of Heaven. There’s purpose in suffering.

I needed this. My mom was asking me why God would put her through a particular trial right now and I didn’t know what to say.

I’ve read a bunch of comments that say “for some reason, pineapples make them smile”. This is one of the exact reasons I started shooting them. Dealing with depression, any additional way to feel better is important. And this is why I chose #ShareaPineapple too. It’s a small way to possibly make someone smile. ⠀

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30, NIV).
